[SOLVED] Pink Verticle Line Issue in S22+ Display

I got a pink vertical line on my 1 year old S22+ while I was using it couple weeks ago (Sun 5th May, 2024). When I looked around to see what caused it, I came to know this issue has affected so many other users of various amoled devices from Samsung.

When I reported the same to a Samsung Service Centre, they inspected my device and told me it's the same known issue but they no longer offer free service as that guidance has ended as of Apr 30, 2024.

Then I came across @Anand_Avnish's post:

As advised in that post and many others, I filed a complaint with National Consumers Helpline (ref. 5795373). Today (19th May) I got a call from Samsung support and they are not willing to offer assistance at all, repeating that my warranty expired. However, I'm not letting this go already. I asked them for further escalation and I'll be filing a case with the consumer court if that didn't help. 

I wrote this post just so others can understand how many others are facing the same issue and how pathetic Samsung's quality of product and service has become. I'll keep this post updated on how my effort goes into getting this mess fixed. 

Update (30th May):
After asking for further escalation, I got a call from a Customer Experience Manager the next day who then got me an approval to replace the display with only service charge (650/).
I submitted my phone to the nearest service center earlier this Monday and finally got my phone back today with new display.

just ensure you go through all the steps and don't skip any, if you go directly to NCH, they will ask you to contact the service center and their escalation support first.

1 week ago ie 3-6-24 i give phone to repair at service,centre i register complaint to samsung now in samsung service centre shall i take back tomorrow ..compalint not solved i complaint in nch app .without phone i cant do anything shall i take bak tomorrow,plz repl

Same issue with me, I am using S22 which I purchased on January 2023. A pink vertical line appeared on the display after the OneUI 6.0 update and after a few weeks, a think green line also. I took my phone to the service centre and they asked me to replace the display for Rs. 10,700. This is so unacceptable, I don't want to pay for something that I am not responsible for. I haven't even dropped my phone. Such a huge disappointment from Samsung. 

I just came to know about National Consumer Helpline, maybe I should give it a try

I just now got that irritating pink line out of nowhere on my 1.9 yr old S22+ device. Should i go to Samsung Service Center first or directly register complaint in National Consumer Helpline Forum ?

you need to follow the escalation process with samsung first, otherwise NCH will not consider your application. Go to Samsung, get your complaint acknowledgement number and ask them to escalate it for an exception and ask confirmation for that as well.. You need to provide all this information while you file a complaint with NCH

Me too having this PINK LINE issue...after warranty when contacted samsung through email, they refused to make free replacement.....
I am moving to the next step....!
