Hey Guys! I'm using Galaxy Note 9. I bought it 5 months ago and its still running on Android Oreo. I have been waiting for 5 months but still there is no OTA update. I contacted Samsung for help but they too say that they don't have any information abt software update. Can you guys please tell me any other way of getting Android 9 update which wouldn't even Void my device's warranty?

yeah there is another way you can get it.
install either custom ROM(Which voids warranty)
and the second way way is that check on internet that in which region the update of PIE has been released go there and update your phone without losing the Warranty.
There's also two chances may be either your region's update may contain more features or either the other region's update contains more feature.
And there's no other way to update your other then the two i have explained because samsung is very slow in this manner of releasing updates for their phones even they are Flag Ships.

I'm in Pakistan and here in Pakistan all other Note 9s are almost updated since February. But mine is still in progress of I dont know what 😔

Isn't it possible that I use VPN and change my location to Malaysia (from where my phone came) and then search for update and recieve it

1st the VPN doesn't work.
Sorry mentioned the wrong concept.
that by changing the region doesn't effect.
The updates are released according to the region and your phone is from Malaysia and may be the Update for PIE for Malaysian Region doesn't came yet.
i have note 8 and waited too much for pie update due to the region coz my phone is from Saudia Arabia.
I am also from Pakistan.

but report your problem also to the Samsung through this Samsung Members App i have did this before and they replies Quickly.

i used to root my all samsung devices but now do not because it started creating issues. Samsung discourage rooting so, now you will have battery issues, samsung secure folder will not work, samsung pass will not work, samsung health will stop and also some banking apps will also not work. i think you are not being updated because you have bought rooted phone or verizon type phone which are already tinkered which stops update.

You're right abt that but I have full knowledge abt that and everything you mentioned above is properly working in my device. its Officially working on Samsung's originally signed software and its Warranty is also not Void. so that must not be the case I think

bro is there any solution to this problem...because my s9 also does not run health and secure folder type apps and shows the pop up of rooting...but i never rooted my fone
