Galaxy SHey everyone,
I’m really frustrated right now. My Samsung S22 Ultra recently started showing a white line on the right side of the screen whenever I switch to 120Hz refresh rate. The weird thing is, this problem goes away when I use 60Hz. After checking online, it seems like a lot of people are facing the same issue!
Here’s the kicker: this started right after my warranty expired. My phone hasn’t been physically damaged, no drops, no water exposure—nothing. I even tried Safe Mode and all the usual steps, but the problem persists.
I believe this is a defective hardware issue related to how the display handles 120Hz. It’s not my fault, and yet, Samsung is charging high fees for screen replacement, which is unfair when the issue is due to a design flaw on their end!
Why should I (or anyone else) have to pay for a defect that’s clearly widespread and not user-caused? Samsung should provide free screen replacements for this, regardless of warranty status. Anyone else facing the same issue or have any advice on how to get them to fix this without charging a huge fee?
Thanks for your thoughts, and I hope Samsung listens to all the complaints piling up about this!
