Hello

How's the battery timing for you? In terms of the screen on times. I only get 5/6 hours 

I believe it is due to Instagram and Facebook apps. What do you think?

I think you setup your device using smart switch. Don't do that.
Reset your device and don't use smart switch to restore the data. Either use manual way or don't restore from old device. It will fix this issue.

There are many orher apps for backup and restore messages.

And message restoration from Smart Switch doesn't create issue. Battery backup issue is because of app data restoration not from message restoration.
I also backup and restore messages whenever I rest my mobile.

So I saved WhatsApp on Google drive. And my text messages on Samsung Backup. Was able to reset my phone and restore the important data. I hope it fixes it

I did through SmartSwitch as well and having around 5 to 6hr screen on time with S24.. what's the issue with that can you please explain?

Smart Switch se jb bhi full Restoration krein (jese app data for some apps), screen settings (wallpaper, wifi networks, setting configuration) .. to hmesha baad mei battery drain ka issue aata hai.

Aap kisi bhi mobile mei try kr skte hn. Jb bhi app data restore hota hai to kbhi theek nhi chal paata.
Iska easy solution yehi hai k manual backup krein or sirf un cheezo ka jo bht ziada important hein jese msg/call records and WhatsApp.

Smart Switch app se sirf sms or calls Ka backup kr lein. Baqi media waghaira aap OTG ya data cable k through kisi or cheez mei backup krien. Wo bhi manual. Baad mei copy paste krk restore kr lein
Kbhi bhi Battery drain ka issue nhi aega phir. Or device bhi full smooth chalegi jese chalna chahiye

Mei aapko sb cheezo ka bta bhi deta hun

Sim Msg/Call : Smart Switch.
Contacts : Google account.
WhatsApp: Local backup bna kr pura ka pura folder FLASH mei copy krein, or reset krne k baad ya new device mei complete folder same location pr paste krk open krein, sb cheeze wese hi rheingi.
Pics/video: copy in flash or PC only. Don't use Smart Switch for these.

Apps : koshish krein kisi bhi app ka data backup na krein. Phir bhi agar koi 1,2 app bht ziada zaroori hn to unka kr lein, smart switch se hi. Lekin try krein k aesa na hi krein. Q.K baad mei battery drain ka issue face krna pr skta hai.
Mobile settings: ye restore na krein, na backup bnaein, ishi se sbse ziada issue hota hai baad mei.

Mei shuru se aese hi backup or restore krta hun. Kbhi Battery drain ka Issue nhi aaya. Or hr 4,5 months mei laazmi reset kr leta hun mobile.

Don't reset in hurry.
Double check all the data you want to keep like : Secure folder, gallery hidden albums and sync Samsung health, notes before resetting.

Make sure you can login back to your Google account easily, and remove Google account just before resetting the phone.
