according to my information data can be recovered if your device isn't encrypted. and by default it is not encrypted. i never recovered data so that's just my understanding, take that with a grain of salt.
there is option under "Biometrics and Security" to encrypt device and sd card.

Only photos can be recovered by any software
whiles pdf files and videos can't be recovered

If you have backup in Samsung Cloud than its possible otherwise maybe through third-party software.

then simply ENCRYPT your device in " Biometrics and Security" and delete all your data before selling it. it won't be recovered.
