Why does my samsung S23 FE zooms on my face while video calling on messenger and whatsapp? Is there any way to stop this?

It sounds like you've already taken several troubleshooting steps. Since the front camera works for selfies but not for video calls, it might be a specific compatibility issue with WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger on your device. Here are a few more things to try:
1. **Check App Settings:** In WhatsApp and Messenger, ensure that the camera permissions are specifically granted for video calls, not just for general camera usage.
2. **Clear Cache and Data:** Sometimes clearing the app cache or data can resolve issues. You can do this through the app settings on your phone.
3. **Update Apps:** Make sure WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and your phone's software are all updated to the latest versions.
4. **Try a Different App:** Test video calling with a different app, like Zoom or Google Meet, to see if the issue persists across multiple applications.
5. **Factory Reset:** As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset on your phone. This will erase all data and apps, so make sure to back up your important information first.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the front camera or a software issue that requires assistance from Samsung support or a service center.
