Dear Samsung, 

I hope this post finds you all well. I am writing this message with a heavy heart, as I have encountered a distressing issue with my Samsung S21 FE device after the recent software updates.

After two weeks from the sotware update, I noticed a couple of display lines on my screen, and despite my careful usage, the problem has escalated to 5-6 lines. 

This is disheartening, especially considering that the S21 FE is my first flagship phone, and I had high hopes of using it for several years. 

I have always been a proud Samsung user, advocating for the brand due to its innovative features and customizable options. However, my recent experience has left me questioning the reliability of Samsung phones. 

I purchased my S21 FE in February 2022 from a reputable seller in Sri Lanka, Genius Mobile, and it came with a 1-year company warranty. The issue surfaced in January 2024, just after the warranty expired. When I contacted Genius Mobile, they informed me that I would need to pay approximately LKR 60,000 for a screen replacement – almost half the cost of the phone. I was shocked and frustrated hearing that.

Then I reached out to Samsung Sri Lanka for support. Unfortunately, after multiple conversations, the resolution offered was the same – pay for a screen replacement. This response is deeply unfair, especially when the issue seems to be related to a software problem rather than user damage. 

I hoped that the One UI 6.0 update would resolve the problem, but it only exacerbated the issue, causing more display lines. I saw that other S21 FE users are facing similar problems, turning this into a widespread concern rather than an isolated incident. 

I am now eagerly awaiting a response from Samsung regarding the steps they will take to address the S21 FE display lines issue. It feels unfair to ask users to bear the cost of a repair that appears to be a common problem caused by software updates, especially during these challenging times in Sri Lanka. 

I encourage fellow S21 FE users who have faced similar issues to share their experiences and insights in this thread. Together, let's bring attention to this matter and hope for a fair resolution from Samsung.

Literally the exact same issue. Bought the phone in September 2022. No cracks, not even scratches on the screen. One line showed up randomly while using the phone.  One more the next day. The service center said it would cost 10 to 15 thousand indian rupees, which is way too much considering I paid almost 50 thousand indian rupees for the phone and it's only 18 months old. I tried all the customer support and services, and got nothing out of it. Very disappointed.

The worst phone I have used ever.. 

Battery backup hands off 5 hour max after full charged 

And newly screen lining problem 2 new line came for this issue I gave my phone to authorise service center tezpur , assam they took the phone on 12th of April,  2024 and they made job sheet on 5th may 2024 after 24 days and then they replied me that the samsung care center is not changing the screen freely now they have closed now I have to pay 14k to repair the screen that came after update. 

Now I called to senior manger of service center he said me that this service was closed in April month , I replied him that I gave them on 12th April but he said that he can't help me 

I purchased the phone by paying 50k

Now I have to pay more 14 k for repair 

Total 64k this phone doesn't deserve 

Worst worst service by samsung    

I will change brand , I will never use your phone ever thanks

I'm also facing the same problem with my Samsung s21 fe 5g. I bought it on August 2022 with a 1 yr company warranty from a recognized Samsungstore. But in May 2024, my display screen randomly started showing me a green line which escalated to 2 the next month.I asked the Samsung service center for the solution for which they told me a replacement that is very expensive. Kindly look into this matter,Samsung. It's very disheartening as a Samsung user as this was my 1st flagship phone.

People I faced the same issue yesterday after getting an update. There was a small green line appearing and once the update was installed it has become permenant. Such a disgrace for a reputed brand to be honest. I sent an email to samsung india. Still waiting for a response.

Same issue came to my Samsung S21 FE on July 2024 which I bought in April 2022. First there was one Vertical Line and today I.e. 24/08/2024 there is a second verical line on the Screen.  When I went to Samsung Service Centre they asked to replace the Screen on charge basis although this problem actually arised after the Firmware update. I have been Purchasing Samsung Mobile since 2010 and latest I Purchased S23 FE in last Week of July & Samsung Tablet A9 + in August. 

But it is heartbreaking that Samsung is not taking the responsibility of the issue which arised due to Software update which is in the Scope of Samsung. Samsung must accept the responsibility and resolve this problem for their customers without any charges because it's a common problem occurring in Samsung S23FE.

I have had the exact same problem with my Samsung S21 FE 5G. Once it completed 2 years in May 2024, the lines appeared. Funny how the lines started appearing in my boyfriend's phone now in August, when it completed 2 years as well. I currently have 6 lines in the middle of my screen.

I tried to contact Samsung Brasil and they claimed they could not fix my screen because S21 FE was not in the list Samsung allowed them to fix, even thought they are fixing other kinds of phones, such as S21 and S22 with the exact same problem. They want to charge a thousand reais (almost 200 dollars) for something they ruined. 

I will never buy Samsung again.
