There is a list of imei assigned to all phones manufacturers in the world do you know that ?

When PTA approval system and app was launched at that time PTA was using the list and it was saying your phone is this and your imei is of this phone. So they are gonna use same method again to block your phone sooner or later.

If PTA of a 1000 dollar and above value phone is around 150k and here in Pakistan manufacturer companies are paying 100k discounted while registering devices before sale and one common person can take his old phone's imei and get it patched on expesive phone and paying 2 or 3k duty and get satisfied.

Because your dear FBR has lost its mind
PTA tax was originally launched to stop smuggling and bring manufacturers in pakistan
Now that the industry is dead imports banned
Smuggling again on peak
There is no sense for this ridiculously high PTA tax which is more then the value of phone itself
If PTA tax was 50k instead of 150k i would happily pay for it
But 150k makes zero sense economically
FBR has converted this tax in to a revenue stream which is consistently decreasing as no one is paying this much tax
This patching won't stop unless FBR decreases taxes and make those taxes reasonable
150k for a phone is ridiculous
These idiots have not even made a system for old phones whose value is like 20k and PTA tax is 60k

You are right on everything the heavy tax amount, the unjustified unupdated list of phones everything. What my friends in PTA says this is all wrong and we are working on it. To aware the community i posted this. The saddar guys won't be there and won't be paying after the blockage of phones.

I am against CPID or Patch approval but even If you are doing so patch some android iemi. The biggest mistake these patch providers are making, just to save some money they patch some bar phones iemi on androids. This mistake or greed may effect the innocent customer who wants to save the hard earned money.
