Fast charging not working

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and since October 2019 it has stopped fast charging my device.

Charger works perfectly with other Samsung phones. No water damage or port damage ever recorded.

When charger is connected it shows fast charging for a second only but then disappears.

Sometimes also gives water damage indication despite no contact with water.....

this happens with galaxy devices, i also faced this problem, it went away after i switched to the 25w charging brick that comes with note 10 plus.

use wireless charger for a few days, when the port dries out completely it starts fast charging.

also try changing your charger, use genuine charger, if possible.

put your phone in silica gel (cover it obviously), it will absorb the moisture and this issue will be resolved.

buy new data cable from Samsung store.
