‼️ A54 5G Charging Problem after One Ui 7.0 ‼️

I updated to one ui 7 and it's been about a week now and since the day before yesterday, super fast charging is not working on my phone. Instead, slow charging is working. Anyway, the first problem I had with the Type C cable is that it only charges when you touch one side of the Type C cable, and there is no response when you touch the other side. That is, the side that looks like a joint in the picture below is always turned upside down and the slow charge occurs. There is no response when you touch the other side upside down and touch it.🤕

This morning, when the battery was below 50%, I plugged in the cable in the same way and super fast charging worked. Then when I connected the side that wasn't charging before, slow charging worked.🫠

Also, after this problem, even the day before yesterday, even though the phone was not plugged in to charge, the Moisture Detected Notification just kept coming and going. Now that problem is gone, now the problem mentioned above is there. 🙄


Is this,

•A problem with the charging port?
•Or is it a bug caused by an update(one ui 7.0)?
•Is it a problem with the motherboard?


Do I have to go to an authorized repair center to replace the port??🫠

I don't think it is a problem with the charging port. Or with the One UI 7 and it is not a motherboard Problem. I think it is causing with the charging cable. This occurs alot when the charging cable becomes old.

I also have experience both the situations that you mentioned Bro. I experienced both these issues in my A72 and my father's A54. And still experiencing it from time to time. And as my option for both these issues you don't need to go to a repair centre.

Which I do is that. I put a mark in the charging port area where the side that it's detecting the Super Fast Charging. So then once I plug the correct side every time it shows Super Fast charging. And also regarding the moisture detection. It's also come like 1 day per week. And it is a common issue posted on many Samsung and redit forums also in Facebook pages in Sri Lanka. When there is no moisture also sometimes the message will come and then will stop charging. For that just keep the phones charging port near a table fan and keep it for like 5 minutes to dry and once again when we plug it will work.

It's not an issue with the cables or adapters bro, I plugged in all the original adapters cables I had at home, but it's the same. 🫠
Even with super fast charging, it takes longer to charge than the time shown.
Also, the time shown to be full with slow charging and the time shown to be full with super fast charging are the same, even when the battery is about seventy to eighty percent.🥲

Yes Bro. For the device to charge fully 100% or 80% it will take like 5 more minutes more than the remaining time shown. But these 2 problems I don't think it is a major issue. It is experience by many users. But the remaining time shown same with both Fast charging and Super fast charging seems to be a problem

Ohh then that's a problem Bro. I thought the difference is between 5 to 10mins. Did this issue come after One Ui 7 or was it there before.

Ohh okay. I don't think this is a common issue. Because i am not experiencing it in the A54. But wait till Samsung releases the June Security update Bro. Also before it just restart your phone and see. I hope you have done it already.

Brother, I tried downgrading my phone to Android 14 by installing a firmware on a CSC that has my phone model name and does not have Android 15 yet, but the issue is still there. 🙂

So here's the real deal 🧐

That moisture detection message? It's very unlikely to be a software issue. It's just your phone's way of saying, "Hey, something weird's going on with the charging port" usually when it senses moisture or an abnormal connection

Now, what's the actual problem?👀

It's most likely the charging port itself being bit malfunctioning 🥺

And considering you've already tried, what like 90 cables and 708 adapters 🤫 (totally relatable tech trauma hehehheeheh), we can rule those out. Honestly, I don't think One Ul's to blame here either.
