The Audio Broadcast feature lets you share music, videos, or your voice directly from your Galaxy phone with multiple nearby compatible audio devices, such as headphones or hearing aids that support Bluetooth LE Audio.
The feature uses Auracast technology. Your phone acts as the broadcast source, allowing nearby compatible devices to discover the broadcast and join it to listen to the same audio.
Why Is the Audio Broadcast Feature Useful?
- It allows multiple people to listen to the same content at the same time.
- It lets you share music, podcasts, or video audio without passing a single pair of headphones between people.
- It allows you to broadcast your voice using the phone’s microphone, making it useful for tours, meetings, and group activities.
- You can add a password to prevent unwanted people from joining the broadcast.
How to Use the Audio Broadcast Feature
- Open the Settings app, then tap Connected devices.
- Select Audio broadcast.
- Choose the type of broadcast you want to use, such as broadcasting media audio or broadcasting your voice using the phone’s microphone.
- Tap Start broadcast, then approve any required permissions when prompted.
- Nearby users can search for the broadcast name and join it using headphones or audio devices that support Auracast.
- When finished, tap Stop broadcast to stop sharing the audio and disconnect the listening devices.
The Audio Broadcast feature makes it easy to share content with multiple people, but the devices must remain within Bluetooth range. It is recommended to use a password when starting a broadcast in public places.
