The Call Screening feature on your Galaxy phone lets you know who is calling and why they are calling before you answer, helping you handle unknown or unwanted calls more easily.
The feature uses Call Assist to answer on your behalf, ask the caller who they are and why they are calling, and display the conversation live on your screen. You can then choose to answer the call, continue the conversation using Text Call, or let the assistant handle the call.
Why is Call Screening useful?
Helps you identify the caller and the reason for the call before answering.
Helps reduce unwanted, suspicious, or potentially fraudulent calls.
Lets you follow the conversation on screen while Call Assist speaks with the caller.
Allows you to join the call and answer directly at any time.
Lets you use Text Call to respond by typing your message, which is then spoken aloud to the caller.
Provides an Automatic Call Screening option to automatically screen certain types of calls.
How to enable Call Screening
1. Open the Phone app > tap More options (⋮).
2. Select Settings.

To enable Automatic Call Screening
1. Open Phone > More options (⋮) > Settings > Call Screening.
2. Tap Auto screen calls > Turn on the feature.
The next time you receive a call from an unknown number, Call Screening can help you find out who is calling and why before you decide whether to answer.
Know before you answer, and take smarter control of your calls with Galaxy.
