As much as this is a very good thing and knowing one's body composition is important, as a doctor I think this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
Samsung has found a way to interpret bioelectric data and tell you the body composition very quickly, though in real life machines take much longer to do the same process. In fact some users have reported variable measurements and inaccurate measurements while using the Body composition analysis.
My advise is to use it, but don't depend on the data as the gospel truth. Samsung themselves says that this data shouldn't be used for medical purposes.
With that being said, I think this data can be very useful in tracking one's progress, fitness-wise. It will show the amount of decreasing fat and increasing skeletal muscle mass which would be very encouraging to anyone working out. I think this technology is a breakthrough in cutting-edge fitness tracking software and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this tech.
