How to connect Note 8 to dex on mac via usb c

Hi i think Note 8 and S8 both need a specialized dex dock to connect and won't just work via USB C cable only like more modern devices.

Please provide the link where u read this, I'm an owner of a note 8 as well, and I've never been able to trigger dex with just one Usb Type C cable, at least u need to have a dock of some sort if not the samsung dex station that supports a HDMI output if I'm not mistaken.

Also make sure that the Mac dex client is installed on ur macbook as well. Note 9 and above works the way u said, but note 8 doesnt. Hope u can figure out a method.

I've just watched several videos also and none show to trigger dex with just a cable on a note 8.

It was downloaded from Samsung dex website I think. It's actually a flyer. Can you send me the link for Mac dex client
