Forget Stable Update Samsung Plans Fourth One UI 7 Beta Release For Galaxy S24

Uh oh! Samsung may not be ready to roll out the stable One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S24 series just yet. Reports suggest the company plans to release one more beta update before the final version. It will be the fourth beta build for its 2024 flagship lineup. Samsung didn’t launch beta programs for any other model.

Galaxy S24’s One UI 7.0 stable update may not arrive anytime soon

Samsung’s One UI 7.0 update is nearly four months behind schedule — the One UI 6.0 update hit the stable channel in October 2023. While the new version is available out of the box on the GalaxyS25series, older models have yet to receive it. The Korean firm was widely expected to push One UI 7.0 to the Galaxy S24 in early February.

However, it seems we need to wait longer. Noted leaker Ice Universe recently posted a screenshot of a conversation with the beta manager, who revealed that a fourth One UI 7 beta bliud is in the pipeline for the Galaxy S24 series. The discussion is about a screen color calibration issue that cropped up after the third beta update. It allegedly made the display look yellowish.

The beta manager confirmed that the One UI development team has fixed the issue, and the fix will be included in the upcoming fourth beta update. This means the stable release is still a while away. Even if the fourth beta arrives in the next few days, the final version is unlikely to roll out in the first half of February. It’s disappointing, but there’s not much we can do.

On the bright side, the long wait should be worthwhile. One UI 7.0 is a massive update in every sense. It has a huge download size and contains plenty of goodies. Samsung has redesigned the user interface. Galaxy devices also get several new AI features and other functional improvements that enhance the user experience.
