They have already brought it back.
The older Samsung swipe gestures extra option is now available as optional from now on that also includes hiding gesture hint option.
If you want to get it back. Install Samsung Goodlock App and it's Navstar module.
If you are expecting it to appear in a firmware update it won't be available that way any longer.
