A huge problem which discourages people from buying Samsung phones is the poor software support. Samsung should give at least 3 years of major updates, instead of 2 as their hardware is more than capable.

from s9+ update issue i am shifted to ios i had thinked to pre order s20plus but what will i get after 2 years in Pakistan not even a security update it is better to be shifted to ios from this trash

it is only Pakistan that is not receiving the updates

It's because Android is more wider than iOS. Android is being used by people more than the people uses iOS. Apple only have to make a newer version of the software for 6-7 devices but on Android side Google have to Make a newer version of OS every year for billion of devices also the brand whose phone you're using also have to put their OS skin on it that's why it's not possible to give Android Updates every single time. Even themselves gives only 3 years of Software support.
