My S24 ultra does not work with dry fingers, but it does work only with moist fingers, i usually remain on the go, so my hands are usually dry and it is really irritating and absurd that it does not work with dry fingers,
Shows message like fingers does not match, try harder, cover the entire finger print scanner
It is really upsetting that such a flagship device from a Brand like Samsung is giving such issues.
I hope it to be a software glitch and will be resolved through updates.

This is the first time anyone has ever said that because fingerprint sensors normally don't work with wet fingers.

Not vet, only moist finger as in you put lil lotion on your fingers, than amazingly it works fine, further i have A55 aswell, but there is no issue of any finger print scanner, works fine with dry and moist finger

Brother, try to diagnose using the members' app. And then remove fingerprint and then assign a new finger.

Indeed, when a finger is excessively dry or rough, it can hinder the efficiency of fingerprint scanners, often requiring multiple attempts or even failing to unlock the device. This issue is not limited to mobile scanners but can affect any biometric scanner. To mitigate this, it is advisable to apply lotion or cream to the hands to moisturize the fingers. This simple measure can significantly improve the performance of the scanner without requiring any technical intervention. Just take care of your hands/fingers then everything will be fine.
