So i connected my laptop hdd to my phone (S9) with the otg that came with my phone but it didn't show anything so I did some research and it turned out that I have to have extra power so I connected one side to my phone and the other to my ps4 so basically I thought the ps4 whould give extra power cause I didn't have a USB hub and it works but sometimes it gives a error high power usb connected unable to access this device needs external power supply eventhough I have already given a extra power source any idea ?
If the HDD is soo power hungry....and you're willing to spend some money for a better alternative power supply.....I guess its better if you look for a USB shocket.....It would be less damaging to neither of devices...... Its your choice .....🤷♂️ If power is the one hold you back..!!
