Galaxy S
I have been experiencing a front camera failure issue on my Galaxy S22 Plus for the past year. It initially started with the front camera only, but over time, the back camera in portrait mode also began to malfunction.
Currently, only the video mode and standard photo mode (without portrait) work perfectly on the back camera, while the front camera has completely stopped functioning.
At first, I assumed this was a hardware issue. However, I noticed that the front camera works almost 90% of the time when using third-party apps like WhatsApp for video calls. Whenever I receive a video call and answer directly, the front camera functions perfectly. If it were a hardware issue, it shouldn't work on third-party apps either. I’m specifically mentioning WhatsApp because I don’t use other apps much, so I can’t confirm their performance.
I have tried all recommended solutions to fix this issue, including resetting the camera app, resetting the entire phone, and even performing a factory data reset, but nothing has resolved the problem.
If anyone has a solution for this issue, please let me know. The problem is worsening day by day, and I fear that in the next couple of months, the video mode and standard photo mode on the back camera might also start failing.
