battery draining issue

Does anyone experiencing fast battery draining on your note 20 ultra? What could be the cause and solution

I think this is a common misguide what we think as an issue. Also It's going to be interesting to hear how we all set up our phone's preferences differently which does have a direct impact on battery life.

We all have different usage habits, phone settings and features preferences settings, apps, app preferences settings, widgets , network signal and charging habits.

My suggestion is just try to make use of optimisation settings of the phone, specially the resolution, refresh rate and display timeout

Also a please note that phone's battery reaches optimal output after a few recharges and discharges and on the phone learning the person's usage habits and everything settling down.

Finaly, I hv seen that many created posts on how their Samsung Note10 + 5G battery was dismal yet personally mine has always lasted a day easily and would last two if needed with some advanced features turned off from the same launch day.

thanks for your feedback. I do agree with you.. But I do have note 10 plus and still using it along with my new note 20 ultra. when you compare the 2 phones side by side, there is dramatic difference between the battery drainage.That's what my worry is.
Till now I haven't played a single game on my latest note. just regular phone calls and time to time social media drain the battery
so fast and at the end of the day the phone left with only 20-25% battery power. What if I do some intense gaming? I think I won't be able to keep the phone on till the end of the day.
But as you told its just few days and I think the phone is still learning the usage patterns. hope that will get rectified soon.

would you mind sharing a screen shot of your battery usage. My note 20 Ultra too seems to be draining battery faster than expected. I had power saving on, resolution down to minimum, 120HZ off all that with very light usage but still can't get a solid 4 hour battery life. How about yours?

Hi deabrew,

mine is getting better over the time. I watched some YouTube videos and changed my settings accordingly. no need to switch off the 120Hz display. and also you don't have to put it to power saving mode.

just change it to optimised and turn on the adaptive power saving on. the the phone will automatically turn into medium power saving according to your usage pattern.

now mine is running up to 5+ hours without any hassle

Let the battery caliberate for few days. It might take around a week for the new phone to learn the usage patterns. Then check battery draining apps. Disable location permission for unnecessary apps. There are guides to do this efficiently.

Note 20 Ultra Battery has a problem. Dont try to hide or be deplomatic about that. Producers please atttend to that and give a solution. We have spent fortunes on this phone.
