Will my phone receive an update to record slowmotion videos? Or even EIS? All other phones on my phones price range has both of the features and mine doesnt have either of them... this is what frustrates me the most about Samsung camera features

even though literally specifications meet the requirement performance of those hardware can vary up and down. have you seen some phones have 24MP camera but photos are not that much good. what you can do is try a third party app and see how it works

what I'm trying to say it eis doesnt require any special stuff just an software update and even the 24mp camera quality isnt good because lack of software processing... suppose with and without HDR is difference cause its al related to software... ok slowmotion isnt possible but eis is possible but they dont give it to our phones cause then there will be no difference between flagships and midrange and that's the whole fact that makes me feel bad but others companies offer the max out of their devices but I don't see Samsung doing that cause of action. dont ignore this cause this is true

what you are saying is partially true. from marketing perspective they might disable those stuff for mid-range phones. i agree. what im saying is EIS requires a huge image processing. even if M20 Exynos chipset can perform image processing but cannot produce a good IES videos due to lack of performance, at the end of the day you will say what is the point of having EIS in M20. that is what has happened to those phones with 24 MP cameras but no good image quality. so they might have removed that feature from the phone.

EIS doesnt require a large scale processing it's just fitting into the frame but at least they dont try to do it lol the Google photos has good stabilization... if Google can do it with just an app without any system requirements why a multibillion dollar company doenst have eis feature built into their midrange segment.. I might change this phone anyway if dont get the necessary update I'm expecting so no worries
