Have u tried downloading Expert Raw? I'm not sure if it will support your device. If it does, you can use it to star gaze

Yeah the A series only have 10s as the longest exposure time. But I think that is enough. May be you have tried to capture the stars in an area with high light pollution.

There is an app called "Deep Sky Camera". It has longest exposure time of 30sec. However the image quality is little bit low compared to the native camera app.
