Let me get this straight,
There are two ways to make secure folder work.
1. One is when you have never rooted your phone, so it's not possible for you.
2. After rooting, the knox is permanently disabled and no one can fix it after unrooting. So yo make secure folder work, root your phone and install Magisk, the are two modules: KnoxPatch + Universal SafetyNet that you can use to get secure folder to work, so you must be rooted to get tgis working but it still is risky....

First make sure you are rooted, check in developr options at Oem unlock, it will be on and can't be turned off.
Then in msgisk you must first pstch the boot.img file properly to enable root access for magisk
Then you csn install modules
