According to Samsung news both devices are S8 now 2+ years old, meaning and has already received two OS updates in Android Pie and Android Nougat. That means that the S8 Plus (and S8) is not eligible for the next big update it is not eligible for the next big OS update, Android 10. However, it will continue to receive monthly security patch updates on a regular basis.
