Update: after letting it stay for a couple of weeks it turned on and is working. However battery seems to be draining than usual. Thanks everyone who commented with solutions.
My watch stopped turning on or charging. It would show it's charging then the overheating error comes up and stops charging. When tried to switch on shows that it needs to be charged, other than that not responsive. Any idea what could be the cause? How to fix this? Any recommended repair shops around colombo? Note I've been wearing the watch while swimming in the pool for about 2 months now.

Ensure you are using the original charger and cable that came with the watch. Third-party chargers can sometimes cause overheating issues.
You might need to reset the watch to its factory settings. This can often resolve persistent issues.
it might be a hardware issue. Contact the manufacturer’s support for further assistance or consider visiting an authorized service center.
There is a shop at Liberty Plaza called "Smart phonez repairing". That's a very good shop.

Bro, unfortunately, there are no proper repair people in Sri Lanka who undertake watch repairs. I've tried many places.

What you can try is keep your watch off and, ideally, first shake off all the water from it as much as u can, then
stick the watch with a bunch of silica gel packs to dry it for about 1 week. You can buy silica gel from Aliexpress, and even daraz might have.

The alternative would be to use raw rice to dry the watch, but rice dust particles might get into the watch's internals.

Whatever method you do, try to dry out the watch thoroughly first before turning it on or charging it.
Once it's dried for about a week, then it might work again.

If you find a watch repair place, keep me posted
