Are you excited for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series? The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is scheduled for February 1. The series includes three devices – the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. These devices have been subject to major leaks in recent months. And now, new information about each of these devices has appeared online leaving nothing to imagine.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Specifications:

The 6.8-inch QHD+ (3,088 x 1,440) AMOLED screen on the flagship smartphone will have a refresh rate of 120Hz. A previous leak indicated that the peak brightness of the Galaxy S23 Ultra can reach 2000 nits, however, this quantity was later revised to 1750 nits, the same as its predecessor.

A wide range of memory and storage options will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra as well. Including 8/12 GB of RAM and 256/512/1,024 GB of storage. When it comes to performance, it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It has a 5000 mAh battery which supports 45 W wired and 10 W wireless charge will power each variant.

However the battery capacity is the same as the previous flagship model and the wireless charging power has been reduced by 15 watts, overall this is a slight decrease. Other features of the Galaxy S23 Ultra include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6E, UWB and NFC.

The Samsung S23 Ultra packs a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor with a 12 MP (f/1.4, 120-degree FOV) ultra-wide angle lens, a 10 MP telephoto lens (f/2.4, 3x optical zoom, OIS), and a 10 MP periscope telephoto lens (f/4.9, 10x optical zoom, OIS). It can record videos in 8K resolution at 30 FPS, while 4K recording is limited to 60 FPS. Furthermore, the device has a 12 MP front camera with HDR10+ capabilities.

Samsung S23 & S23+ specifications:

The base model Samsung Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch FHD+ (2,340 x 1,080) AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a pixel density of 425 PPI and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It supports HDR10+ and its refresh rate is variable, meaning it can change dynamically between 48 Hz and 120 Hz. The device is also equipped with a 3,900 mAh battery and offers 25 W wired and 10 W wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S23+ has a larger 6.6-inch screen with the same display specifications as the Galaxy S23. It has a 4,700 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging, twin Dolby Atmos speakers, IP68 water resistance, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and Wireless Powershare. It also has the same cameras as the Galaxy S23, including a 50 MP main camera (f/1.8, 23 mm focal length, 85-degree FOV, dual-pixel PDAF, OIS), a 10 MP telephoto lens (f/ 3.4, 36-degree FOV, 69 mm focal length, 3x optical zoom), and a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/ 2.2, 120-degree FOV, 13 mm focal length). The selfie camera can record films at up to 4K 60 frames per second and photographs in HDR10+. 8K video recording at 30 FPS is supported by the main camera. Additionally, the Galaxy S23+ offers Ultra-Wideband (UWB) functionality.

Both smartphones will have 8 GB of RAM, but the Galaxy S23 will have 128/256 GB of storage, while the Galaxy S23+ will have 256/512 GB. Both are available in four different colours: black, cotton, green, and purple.

Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra pricing:

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series prices have leaked for Australia, with the base model Galaxy S23 starting at AUS $1,350 and the Samsung Galaxy S23+ starting at $1,650. The base variant of the top-tier Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be priced at around $1,950, representing a price increase of around AUD 100 compared to the Galaxy S22 series.
