Gift pack

S22 Ultra - Galaxy Buds2 + 150 GB Data +  (6 months on OneDrive, 3 months Spotify premium subscription, and a 2-month premium offer on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Creative Cloud Express)

Delivery is planned to starts after 14th March

Confusion😥

  • SOC is confused by the vendors. Most venders published it as Exynos 2200.
    Samsung SL should have published it their site and marketing materials.
  • Dialog pushed their delivery dates to 16th March and 6th April based on color and models in their pre-order site.
    No update from other vendors.

  • Rupee float announced by CBSL

Date: 14th March

  • USD exchange rates passed LKR 250

Date: 15th March (Night)

  • Not a single order was dispatched from the vendor yet (Soflologic, Dialog, Samsung Sri Lanka)
  • Samsungsrilanka.lk added a T&C button under S22 and S22 Ultra order pages. T&C doc is corrupted and can't open.
  • Price and gift revision stating to show up in vendor sites on the pre-order page.
    And the Galaxy buds are excluded from the gift pack. (Dialog, Singer)

Disappointment 😞

Date: 16th March (Official Galaxy S22 Unveiling)

  • Venders contact the customers and ask to pay the balance payment of the revised price even they have settled the full payment at initial order placement.

  • Communicated that the Galaxy buds are excluded from the gift pack.

This news led some customers to cancel the order and ask for a refund.

Some went for alternatives and some left the eco system  🍎📱

Then the softlogic said that they will discuss with Samsung SL management and get back to. No update so far.

Meanwhile, some customers got their devices from 3rd party vendors after paying the revised price.

No official has come forward to address this so far they have left the customer to figure it out. The deliveries will be delayed further until this is sorted.
It seems gifts are not free after all.
Pre-order doesn't make sense at this point.

FAQ

  1. Did Samsung SL put profits before the customer?
  2. Did Samsung use the dollar fluctuation as an excuse to get more cash from the customer?
  3. Did the Samsung SL mismanagement or greediness led to this situation ?
  4. Venders are ready to deliver the order as soon as the customer settles the balance payment. Doesn't it mean that they already have the units in their warehouse? 
  5. Customers pre-ordered the device ignoring all the negative reviews and Samsung SL drops this on them. "Are we a joke to you"?
