What is CSC?

CSC (Consumer Software Customization) defines the regional settings and carrier-specific features on a Samsung device. It controls:

Available firmware updates

Pre-installed carrier apps

Network compatibility (VoLTE, 5G bands, etc.)

Samsung Pay, Call Recording etc..

⚠️ Important Notes

You may lose access to region-specific features.

This process may void your warranty in some regions.

Proceed at your own risk.

Requirements

A Samsung Galaxy device ( carrier-unlocked)

Windows Computer

Data Cable to Connection between galaxy and Windows Computer

Internet Connection ( for download the required tool )

Patience – some steps require reboot and setup.

I will explain the easiest method of CSC changing, there are other workarounds but this is the easiest way:

1. Disable Auto Blocker ( New Galaxy Devices has this security feature )

  • First Go to Settings > Security and Privacy
1. Go to Settings.png
  • Then toggle off Auto Blocker
2. Auto Blocker Turn Off.png

 2. After go back and Go to About Phone > Software Information
  • Tap 7 times rapidly on Build Number to open the hidden developer options menu
  • 3. build number tap 10 times .png
After hitting give the device lock screen credentials to enable developer options

    4. Allow.png

3. After enable it go back to settings again and you can see new menu called Developer Options has been enabled

  • 5. new toggle developer.png
Go to Developer Options andturn on USB Debugging

6. On usb debug.png

4. Download SamFW tool

5. Install the Software on you Windows PC ( You need to temporary disable the windows defender )

6. Then connect the Galaxy Device and Your PC using the Data Cable

  • After connect in the Software it will show as follows
7. Connect PC and IT shows.png

7. On other hand in the Galaxy Device there is a connection request
  • Allow the connection
8. Allow connection.png

8. After it connects Choose Samsung and Go to MTP and Select Change CSC form the menu that shows device supported CSCs

9. click change csc.png

9. This is the most Crucial step to consider.
  • There are So many CSCs , choose the correct one is totally on your choice. I will mention some of most common used ones with their features below.
  • List of CSC codes that enable native Call recording with/and SPay on Samsung ROMs. This is the list:
Sri Lanka (SLK) - Call Rec only

Bangladesh (BNG) - Call Rec only
Thailand (CAM/MYM/THL) - Call Rec+ SPay
Egypt (EGY) - Call Rec only
Israel (ILO) - Call Rec only
Laos (LAO) - Call Rec only
Libya (BTC/LYS) - Call Rec only
Nepal (NPL) - Call Rec only
Allergy (TMC/WTL) - Call Rec only
Tunisia (TUN) - Call Rec only
Vietnam (XXV) - Call Rec + SPay

10. Special Notes:
  • With build numbers: if you currently using software build version that is lover than your desired CSC, then it is no problem you can just follow above methods OTA updates works fine.
  • If not you have to manually flash the firmware for the CSC required region to gain OTA updates.
  • In Sri Lankan market there are mostly having OXM multi CSC devices. ( KSA, EUX, INS, XSG all included ) - can easily change the CSC to SLK
If you have a carrier locked devices you cannot change the CSC

I've bought an S24 FE SAMEA, which is for South Africa and the Middle East. SLK isn't available to change under CSC, but I changed to EGY. However, there is a firmware with One UI 7 available to download on a third-party website for SLK.

Is it safe to install that firmware with Odin as mine the global version. I'm so confused and don't want to brick this as I have bricking experience with S3 Mini after software flashing over a decade ago, and I don't want to lose OTA Updates 😅

I After updating my Galaxy A25 phone from One Ui 6 to One Ui 7, the Call Recording feature was gone, but it was there in the previous OS, One Ui 6. Is there a way to enable that feature again by applying this method? My CSC Is OLM. Will the phone reset after doing this? Sri Lankan user

Samfw says completed. Device restarts. Boot screen shows as new carrier confirming csc did change. But once boot is completed. Warning takes over the screen saying it needs to update due too Sim card. Can't close out. Fine click accept. Device restarts. Bam Device has reverted back to original csc. Device is s23 ultra. Originally att but Sim unlocked using code.
