I'm experiencing an issue with my Samsung Smart M8 monitor when connected to a MacBook via a Type-C cable. Every time I adjust settings like gaming mode, brightness, or change the name, these settings reset to default once I disconnect and reconnect the cable. This requires me to reconfigure the settings with each connection. Moreover, if I leave the Type-C cable plugged in and restart my Mac, the monitor fails to recognize the device, leading to a necessary reconnection and, subsequently, a loss of all my custom settings. I've tried resetting to factory settings, performing software updates, rebooting all devices, and even using a different device, but the problem continues. Notably, I used to have a Samsung M7 monitor connected via HDMI to Type-C cable without encountering such issues.
