The Galaxy S21 FE failed to receive the Android 13 update weeks after the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra received.
Even less expensive devices such as the Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A52 5G got the Android 13 update ahead of the Galaxy S21 FE. As a result, users of the latest Samsung Fan Edition phone were quite irritated, particularly those living in India & Sri Lanka. However, they can finally look forward to it.
The Galaxy S21 FE got the Android 13 update in India and Sri Lanka. The update comes with G990EXXU3DVK4 firmware release and provides One UI 5.0 to the device. However, it is not receiving the November 2022 security patch and remains limited to the October 2022 patch.
If you are a user of Galaxy S21 FE in India and Sri Lanka, you can install the new update by going to Settings » Software Update and tapping Download and Install.
The European release of the Galaxy S21 FE received the update a couple of weeks ago. Even some carriers locked units of the phone was updated to One UI 5.0 in the US. The carrier-unlocked smart phone units have yet to receive the update in Canada, China and the United States.
