try re-initializing it. in notification panel select s pen remote (switch off and then on) it will show notification reinsert you spen after removing.
another method, hold and press s pen remote under notification panel. disable and enable s pen from top right corner. this will take 2~3 minutes for initialization. in this menu it will show if your s pen is charged also.
