Try these steps. One time i got that issue
1. Clear the gallery app storage
2. Restart your device
3. If any step didn't fix that issue just reset your device and backup your data to micro sd card using smart swich or use cloud 😉

But can't delete gallery app.. after you rest the phone is your problem solved?

Yes it fix to me.Gallery app can't uninstall, just clean the storage. For clean the storage try these steps

1. Touch and hold gallery app
2. You will see (i) sign in the top of right corner
3. Select the storage and open it
4. You will see clear data in the bottom of left side

I suggest you clean up the cache and the data in the gallery. Heading to Settings >> Apps >> Gallery >> Storage >> Clear cache and data.

Otherwise, resetting your Galaxy device is the only option. But be sure to have all backup files before you do.

If the problem still exists, it will definitely be solved with upcoming security patch updates.
