For the past few months, My phone (Samsung Galaxy A07) becomes unresponsive to the touch inputs I give while playing long form media or listening to webinars. This happens to me while using youtube and zoom. The screen becomes normal after I lock and unlock the phone. The phone is not even updated to OneUi 8.5, which this problem seems to occur famously.
I saw other people point out this issue, but didnt see they got an answer.

I feel like this might be related to battery saving/optimisation you may have done. Have u done anything like that?

Sometimes since A07 is a budget phone. While running multiple apps in the background the phone can get stuck. But as you said it happens on YouTube and Zoom. It Must be some bug or an issue. Once it comes restart your phone and see whether it happens after that. And also I think it would be better that you update the phone to One UI 8.5. And after that also you must install the latest security patch. So once doing all these most probably it must get solved.

The phone just works exellent as it is (except the screen thing...) so i don't see that much of a benefit in updating the software (which doesn't guarantee to fix it). I don't do heavy tasks on this, so i'll just ignore it and leave it as it is.
I'm eventually going to update the phone, just looking for a quick fix for now. Thank you for the suggestion 😊

No worries. When you can better to update the phone since A07 is eligible for 6 Major OS Updates. 😊

I’m on OneUI 8.0 too and facing similar touch lag during long YouTube sessions on A series.
Things that helped me:
1. Turn OFF "Adaptive brightness" and "Remove animations" in Developer options
2. Settings > Battery > Background usage limits > Put unused apps to sleep
3. Clear system cache via Recovery Mode
The lock/unlock fix points to a RAM/GPU driver issue. Please report this via Samsung Members > Error report so Samsung notices it.
Hang in there!
