hi Amira, i bought floating app from the play store and in the same time the phone requested a mirrorlink license which already stopped from Samsung. and it is really disappointing that old phone and other mobiles can mirror their screen on cars and we can't do it with our new premium phones did you get my question?!
Hello We wish you a happy day Based on your inquiry regarding that your device is not connected with car properly through Mirror Link I ask permission to perform the following steps If you have problem about MirrorLink, please check for next tips. 1. First, the MirrorLink feature requires that at least one specific application be installed for authorization by MirrorLink. For this, you can install the Samsung Car Mode, Rockscout and so on from Play Store. 2. Please check for authentication certificate for MirrorLink. MirroroLink feature checks with the authentication certificate whether the device that tries the connection got the authentication or not. If this authentication certificate was expired, the connection does not work properly. To update your expired authentication certificate, if your device is based on Pie OS or before, you need to follow the next steps. a) Update the Mirror Link to the latest version on Galaxy Apps. b) On Settings, tap Apps > More > Show system apps > Samsung MirrorLink 1.1 > Storage > Clear data c) On Settings, tap Connections > More connection settings > MirrorLink. At there, tap the back key and wait for about 10 seconds. Again tap Mirror Link, and check whether the applications related to Mirror Link are shown or not. These applications should be marked as ‘Certified’. d) Connect with car via USB cable. If pop-up for downloading of authentication certificate appear, do download it. e) If downloading is completed, please connect USB cable again. 3. Check if the status of Mirror Link is enabled. On Settings, tap Apps > More > Show system apps > Samsung Mirror Link 1.1. If status is disabled, change to the ‘Enabled’ 4. The USB cables approved by Samsung support the compatibility with USB authorized devices. But as we cannot guarantee if every car was approved by USB Authentication Standard, all USB cables may not be compatible when using it inside careven it’s the cable approved by Samsung. Accordingly, you may experience it is not connected with your car even though you use the USB cable approved by Samsung. Additionally we recommend to use shorter USB cable than 1m because USB signal may be not good when you use a long USB cable i.e. 1.2m cable. Thanks for your time
