I think the issue you mentioned is happened because of your finger or screen protector card. There is no chance the problem is with your phn which is fine. Please make sure you put all part of ur finger while adding. They will say that u have to swip...
I can't add my fingerprint lock in my samsung ,as my finger is not proper which has some issues. Samsung has best security which is Knox so we need proper finger to add it, else they will be saying cannot be added your finger.
