Samsung devices give you the option to use the camera while you use the phone to prevent the screen turning off while you're looking at it. I would like them to take this concept one step further and apply it to auto rotation.

How many times does it happen that you are in bed consuming content, and the screen keeps on switching to landscape mode? So you turn off auto rotation. The downside is that you now have to tap in every video player, for eg.: Samsung video, YouTube, Disney plus, etc. to enter full screen mode.

This can be fixed by introducing a feature where the device uses the front camera to look at the eye position/direction and the accelerometers to decide if the device needs to be in portrait mode, or if it can switch to landscape mode.

This should lead to more people leaving auto rotate on, and saving a lot of time/effort by not having to manually enable landscape mode just because you can't use the device in portrait mode in bed.
