Galaxy SSubject: Top of Screen Not Responding to Touch After One UI 6 Update – Galaxy S22
The issue still even after the one ui 7 update.
Hello,
After updating my Galaxy S22 to One UI 6, I noticed that the top area of the screen became unresponsive to touch inside all apps — I cannot pull down the notification panel unless I am on the home screen.
I have now updated to One UI 7, but the problem still exists.
I ran the hardware diagnostic using #0# and found that the top two rows of the touch test do not respond at all. This confirms it’s not just a gesture issue, but a touch sensitivity problem introduced after the update.
Steps I’ve already taken:
• Restarted the phone
• Removed screen protector and case
• Switched navigation modes
• Booted into Safe Mode
• Reset app preferences
Please look into this urgently, as it significantly affects usability.
Attached is a screenshot of the touch test for your reference.
Thank you.

Galaxy SWe have several S22 on OneUI 6.1 without those issues. I am sure it's a hardware issue and you need a new digitizer (which comes with a screen). No update will ever fix your problem. Those issues are known to come up with update because of heating of the screen when updating. If you manage to stay cool on update nothing bad happens. Abroad they change even now S22 screens for free, try to contact Samsung Israel about it.
Where were you for the last year ? How can you use the phone like that ?

Galaxy SI'll contact Samsung Israel and see if they offer any repair or screen replacement program.
I've been using the phone this way because it wasn't always this bad over time. and this problem just started from 2 months ago.

Galaxy SYes, I saw that some people reported a green line or other colors appearing on their screens.
But in my case, the touch issue started in March, right after the One UI 6 update for March.
That’s why I originally thought it was just a software issue.
