When we look at the features of competitors like OnePlus and Apple, it's clear that incorporating some of their best ideas could make Samsung One UI an even more outstanding experience.
Functionality: The AI features should include an option for "writing humanization." This would make AI-generated content sound more natural and human-like, which could be very useful for users.
Features Inspired by OnePlus and Customization
* Icon Size and Layout Customization: Like OnePlus, we should have the option to make app icons even smaller, along with full customization of the home screen grid size. This would allow users to fit more apps and have complete control over the layout.
* Advanced Theming Engine: We need an advanced theming engine that not only changes basic colors but also gives us the option to fully customize every app icon, system font, and UI element.
* Smooth Animations: While One UI's animations are already good, they should be even more buttery-smooth and consistent, like those on OnePlus's OxygenOS, especially when opening/closing apps and multitasking.
* Files App Enhancements: Similar to the file manager on OnePlus, we need a powerful built-in file manager with features like an FTP server, network storage (LAN) access, and advanced file operations such as batch renaming and file compression.
Features Inspired by Apple
* AI Writing Humanization: Following Apple's new AI features, Samsung should include a "writing humanization" tool. This would allow users to add a more natural and personal touch to AI-generated text.
* Consistent Haptic Feedback: The haptic feedback experience on iPhones is very premium and consistent. Samsung should also focus on providing consistent and high-quality haptic feedback system-wide for every small interaction.
* Cross-Device Continuity (Ecosystem): Just like Apple's ecosystem, Samsung should make continuity between its devices (phones, tablets, watches, laptops) even more seamless. For example, copying text on a phone should be instantly paste-able on a tablet, or a call answered on a phone should be seamlessly transferable to a watch.
Stability
It is most crucial that all these features are included in a stable version. Doing so would not only help Samsung get ahead of its competitors but also provide its users with a better and more complete experience.
