Dear Samsung Development Team,
Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to experience the One UI 7.0 Beta. I appreciate the efforts put into improving the user interface and experience. As a dedicated user and tester of the One UI 7.0 Beta, I’d like to share some feedback and suggestions that could further enhance the user experience.
Bugs/Issues
1. Weather Widget Transparency Issue:
Problem: The Weather Widget does not appear transparent when using the 5x6 grid layout but works fine in the 4x6 grid.
Suggestion: Kindly fix transparency for the 5x6 grid and consider bringing back the Transparency Slider for better user customization.
2. Recalibrate Recent Apps Horizontal Scrolling:
Problem: When scrolling horizontally through recent apps, it often scrolls past two or more apps, making it difficult to switch to the adjacent app.
Suggestion: Providing users with an option to control the scrolling speed would greatly improve usability.
3. New Lock Screen Clock Styles:
Problem: The new clock styles on the lock screen feel static and abrupt, especially when transitioning to the Always-On Display (AOD).
Suggestion: Adding more animation and fluidity to the clock styles would greatly enhance the aesthetic appeal.
Desires for Future Updates
1. Enhanced Lock Screen Customization:
While the lock screen editor is great, offering multiple lock screen customizations (saved separately) would align One UI with other OS competitors and provide significant added value to users.
2. Improved Music Visualizations
The wave animations for music (like on Spotify) had a visually cooler and more modern appeal in one ui 6.1 rather than the current static pill-shaped Now Bar, would significantly improve the look.
3. Glassy/Glasomorphic Design Elements:
The cover image style in the One UI 7.0 Beta update, with its glassmorphic icons, looks fantastic!
Request: It would be amazing to see glassy aesthetic icons in future updates.
These suggestions reflect my experience with One UI 7.0 Beta and are aimed at helping Samsung deliver an even more polished, intuitive, and dynamic user experience. Samsung has always set benchmarks in innovation and user-centric design, and I believe these improvements will further solidify One Ul's position as the leading Android interface. I look forward to seeing these enhancements in future updates and am excited for what's next.
