Hello I have an S23 updated today to latest One UI 6 final release, from UK. re-done the new updates from software update also and rebooted phone several times just to make sure.

Connected my Creative Zen hybrid Pro headphones with LEs LC3 codec to my S23 and sound is coming out choppy and scratchy.

The S23 does confirm in the Bluetooth menu it is connected to my Creative Zens with Le audios LC3 mode also.

Tried several apps including foobar, USB audio, qobuz and even Youtube

As soon as I use an older pair of headphones with SBC bluetooth codec it works fine.

So this test shows that LE audios LC3 codec is broken and not working on One UI6 with Android14, please fix this otherwise we cannot actually hear any sound with Wireless headphones and ear buds that support LE audio (LC3) codec.

I am at the latest firmware the app provide but still having same issue with Samsung S23.

What is the version of firmware you updated to on creative zen hybrid pro that is working?

About the proposal to update firmware using an old device. I have updated, but in S23 they still do not work.

I gave up on this issue months ago and sold off the creative zen.

Lovely headphones from Creative, Its sad to hear Samsung or Creative have not really fixed the issue of no sound.

LE audio and LC3 is very hit and miss on all devices though, there are many ear bud/hp owners where they get no audio or crackling/problems etc

You can see the mess LE audio is in with just the last several pages here

People have been scrambling night and day to find a BT dongle or ear buds that work with their mobile phones, there are some successes though but you will need to read it up and use other gear or dongles.

The only other quick fix would be to use the supplied creative Zen BT dongle into the S23 which works around Samsungs broken Le codec support, I have emailed several times to Creative to release an LE audio BT adaptor but they just say we will "look" into it, if more people email Creative support here

They may make the LE dongle quicker, but at same time let them know there Zens don't work on the S23 since there is a guy down there doing the firmware update for Zen and other items but he probably is not even aware of the S23 no sound issue.

You have to also keep emailing Samsung support via the support link on the phone, keep emailing both Samsung and Creative, I did a lot of emails early on but gave up after 3-4 months due to no success.
