No cameras are not that degrade yet 3x is a small sensor and always need more light to capture clear image from starting i try a lot of time more than more than 2k images capture from last year i feel that 😳😄and yesterday even i use 3x a lot in mountains where i live beautiful veiws 3x before update size around 4 to 5 mb even now 4 to 6 mb inage size its same i attach 3x 
I dont think so size is same as before as per detail ratio a 50mp i fell difference but may be it is due to light issue because from last 1.5 continue rainfall and cloudy weather that why
