Contact Samsung by opening the Members app, go to Support on the bottom right corner and scroll untill you see Error Report. Click on it and follow the steps

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is not a new problem. Don't waste your time contacting Samsung - that's a revolving door you don't want to enter. As far as Samsung is concerned, there's no problem, or an update didn't update correctly/fully. They'll make you jump through ALL the hoops they can think of, and it will make no difference. I'm part of a thread where many community members speak of this issue. It's been happening since last year over a range of various different models. Some people seem to come right eventually, and others, like myself, are still having this persistent issue. What may help, on WhatsApp, when you make a voice note, it shows the sound waves of your voice going up and down, then you know it's recording. If it's just flat dots, stop and start again until you see those moving sound waves. I don't really use other apps for voice recording, so not sure if they have that same functionality, but worth a try. Sorry I don't have better news.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below;

Clear the cache of the WhatsApp and your voice recording  app.

To clear an app's cache:

1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Apps.
4. Select the sort by icon next to 'Your apps'.
5. Select the switch next to 'Show system apps' and select OK.
6. Select the app you'd like.
7. Select Storage.

2. Select Settings.
3. Select Apps.
4. Select the menu icon in the top right hand corner.

Thanks Nicky_sam03. I've done all you have suggested and more; nothing works. The only thing I haven't tried yet, because I really would prefer not to, is do a full backup, restore to factory settings, and start loading the phone from scratch.

Thank you for reaching out sidss.

Please  note the feature is no longer available in our region. You can opt for a third party call recording app of your choice from your Playstore.
