I have some spare cycles, so I decided to put out some random thoughts, suggestions, if you like, that one could follow, in order to have a happy “mobile” life. I am addressing Samsung afficionados.

Please see the humour in some of my suggestions. Ok, here we go:
  • When you buy a phone, understand that it is a man-made consumer device and can likely come with the need for future updates in order to function at or over its initial warranted capabilities. Knowing this will make your life more stress-free.
  • Don’t keep looking over to the other side. Samsung is not Apple. You will eventually become a victim of Apple’s reality distortion field and feel frustrated.
  • Don’t think updates are everything, especially for security. It is maybe 1 measure out of 10. The best security feature of your device is you.
  • Don’t keep asking for updates, endlessly. It makes you look weird. Sure, you can ask, but not endlessly. You’re not a baby.
  • Don’t use your device for underwater shooting or filming, in a pool, etc. One of our dear members has already “warned us”. Lol.
  • f you have an issue with your device, it helps to give some more context. Other users aren’t mind readers. I mean, I wish I was. Lol.
  • Run updates/upgrades. Sometimes, if you’re unsure about post-update issues, feel free to ask other members for some feedback.
  • More thoughts to follow, later.
  • LOL...

Absolutely love your random thoughts! 🤣 Especially the part about not being a baby when asking for updates. I’ll try to remember that next time I’m refreshing the update page for the 100th time. And yes, I’ll definitely avoid taking my phone for a swim, thanks for the heads-up! Looking forward to more of your wisdom. Keep them coming! 📱

👍🥇 Thank you for your advice and guidance. I appreciate your words. I agree with you about the update. Also, setting up the phone gives us better control over it and allows us to modify some settings. Knowledge is a treasure that never runs out. 📚🤓

There are very good customization options. I encourage anyone to take the time to try, especially for productivity.

Now I have a strong reason to object to anyone saying Samsung is not like Apple! My device developed green lines after the update, and Samsung outright dismissed my query, claiming it’s an old device (S22). What’s the difference now?

Hello. This issue can be a complicated one to address. There are many reasons why lines can appear on a device's screen. So, from a support perspective, you see the dilemma? I've attached a screenshot of my response to a previous post by another member on this issue. Here's a link to that post too:
