Why samsung old phones ( like galaxy s4) can't download android 12 or latest versions? What is the reason?

Hi...
Samsung offers only 2 years of Android upgrades for old devices like S4. After that they stop giving the upgrades. But latest flagship devices (S21 series onwards) getting 4 years of Android upgrades & 5 years of security updates. 😀

Because when it comes to devices s4 is out of date because they only give updates to new devices after 2 or 3 years they stop upgrading it .
