How do I stop recordings received on whatsapp from showing in voice recorder app

Don't know if this is going to work.

Go to the folder where the WhatsApp received recordings are saved, then create a file called ".nomedia" without quotes.

Does work, however, not the ultimate solution as the music now does not show in music player. My huawei would only show items from the recorder folder in the recorder app.
