Hi, I'm switching to Samsung from OnePlus and wondering what would be the major differences between the Global/International and UAE versions? The 12GB / 512GB specs one is a Chinese variant with a global ROM, is this recommended for usage outside China or should I stick to a UAE variant?

Thank you!

S9180 China & around, s918N Korea, s918u/u1 USA, s918w Canada, S918B international. UAE is S918B (international model).

No need to worry. LTE bands are supported even on Chinese variant (S9180) and VoLTE also works on Etisalat and Du in UAE.

If you want warranty by Samsung Gulf, go for UAE variant. Otherwise any variant will work fine.

We appreciate your interest in Samsung. Kindly be advised that when you buy from authorized showrooms or from Samsung Gulf E-store you will get the region that you live in. For example, if you live in UAE, the region of your device will be UAE. However, we recommend buy a device which has the same region of the country that you live in, in order to avail from the regional features as well as the warranty because the warranty is regional. It is important to note that as a Samsung Gulf, we don't have a region lock, so you can use your device globally but the device must be inserted with a local SIM in case you are in UAE, you should inserted with UAE SIM for 15 days in UAE, to avoid the region lock. As well as you need to check with Samsung chain, if they have regional lock or not. It is important to note that the warranty is local.
