Note 9 to Note 10 Smart Switch via usb cable

Hi I've just upgraded my phone from Note 9 - Note 10. 

Am using the smart switch function through usb cable to transfer data across to my Note 10. 

Message on new  phone says "Transferring data from old phone..."

It said that it would take an hour but 2.5 hours have passed...and it's not finished yet! Battery life has gone down 10% too.   

Does this sound normal?!? 

Or do I need to do something? 

I don't want to stop it in case it blows the new phone...

Any ideas?
