Where is One UI 8.5 😤

We are tired of waiting, since November one ui 8.5 has been in beta testing. When will it come to our devices, S25 S24 or the only way to get it through a phone upgrade 🤔

Carrier devices yes, non carrier devices and unlocked variants no... it was paused before release to the US as the bug was discovered in the initial launch in Korea and India if my memory serves me right and then the US and Europe got after the pause

Apple does not have carrier customization of software, e.g my device is Verizon this is how my Sw update section looks like among other things

Yes so this is why it is not possible to do a worldwide launch. Every carrier has their own customization... samsung claims that carriers delay the release doing their customization and following their release timelines

What is if they stop carrier distribution and just do it on their own

It doesn't work that way, and carrier customization has certain advantages to those on that carrier, you get additional carrier apps that also work to improve your experience e.g check the circled apps
