Not sure what the reasons are, but I feel Google messages is generally a better messaging app. Switched from Samsung messages years ago, and it's been way better.

My phone came with Google Messages but I deleted it to switch to Samsung Messages, now I have to go back 🤦‍♂️it's just that I don't use the Messaging app that much

In there heads, there is no point in keeping it because not alot of people is use. They defaulted to google way before so yea. Also, random fact, the s26 devices did not come with samsung messages.
